Trip to Giant's Causeway... 10/13/2008
8 Comments

So today I headed up North for a day with some of my teammates and a friend from church.  Our destination was a place called "Giant's Causeway."  If you haven't heard of this place, I have to tell you, it's one of the most amazing things I've seen in my life!

Long story short, due to some volcanic eruptions and then the Flood from Genesis, this landmark is covered with thousands of hexagonal pillars of rock.  I saw it today, and I'm still amazed!  (You can get a better explanation from the "Answers in Genesis" website.) Again, I stand amazed at my God who created the world and left us with such beautiful things to see...just because He wants to!

I took a ton of photos :)  Click the photo tab above to see the rest...and YES we did walk up those steps on the side of the mountain!

Woh! I had never heard of those! I can't get my head around natural geometrically shaped rocks. So weird! So cool!

Psalm 65:5-8

"You answer us with awesome deeds of righteousness, O God our Savior, the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas, who formed the mountains by your power, having armed yourself with strength, who stilled the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, and the turmoil of the nations.
Those living far away fear your wonders;
where morning dawns and evening fades
you call forth songs of joy."

Hi, Stephanie,
I just found your photos of Giant's Causeway, and couldn't believe my eyes. That is an amazing place. I didn't even know it existed.
Thanks for keeping up with your blog--it is fascinating to read.

These pics are just AMAZING. I can't imagine seeing this in person. God's creation is truly something to marvel! It makes me think of the coast in Maine that I just saw a few weeks ago!

"By the Word of the Lord the heavens were made, and by the breath of HIs mouth all their host. He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap; He lays up the deeps in storehouses. Let all the earth fear the Lord; Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him."
"More than the sounds of many water, Than the mighty breakers of the sea, the LORD on high is mighty."
